Chamber Member Promotion & Communication Guidelines

The Chamber's communication channels exist to promote the business community as a whole, support Chamber initiatives, and provide information of broad interest to members and residents.

Guiding Principle

The Chamber promotes businesses, people, events, and community engagement—not the products, services, inventory, or listings those businesses sell.

Eligible Content for Chamber Promotion

This policy applies to all Chamber communication channels, including social media, email newsletters, website content, and other marketing platforms.

The Chamber may promote:

  • Chamber events and programs

  • Ribbon cuttings and grand openings

  • New member welcomes and member spotlights

  • Business anniversaries and milestones

  • Community events and fundraisers

  • Educational workshops and seminars

  • Hiring announcements and career opportunities

  • Awards, recognitions, and notable achievements

  • Business openings, expansions, relocations, and other significant company news

  • Member participation in community initiatives, charitable activities, and civic engagement

Content Not Eligible for Chamber Promotion

To ensure fairness among members and maintain the Chamber's role as a community organization rather than an advertising platform, the following content will not be distributed through Chamber email communications, social media posts, social media stories, or other Chamber marketing channels.

Retail & Product Promotions

  • New product launches

  • Product advertisements

  • Seasonal merchandise promotions

  • Inventory announcements

  • Discount offers, flash sales, and clearance events

  • Product giveaways intended to drive sales

  • Real estate market reports

  • Brokerage recruitment announcements

  • Individual agent marketing campaigns

  • Property-specific advertising

General Business Advertising

  • Promotions for specific services

  • Sales offers or discounts

Social Media Posts & Story Reposts

The Chamber may, at its discretion, repost member content that aligns with the guidelines above and supports Chamber, community, or civic engagement objectives.

Members are encouraged to tag the Chamber and engage with Chamber content. However, reposts are not guaranteed and remain subject to Chamber approval.

Equal Access & Fairness

The Chamber seeks to provide equitable exposure opportunities for all members. Because communication channels are limited, the Chamber reserves the right to decline any promotional request that primarily serves as advertising for an individual business, product, service, inventory item, or real estate listing.
